This presentation will cover expressive art-making through found objects as part of the gender-affirming care process. The use of found objects such as mannequins is rarely discussed in therapy. The presenter has personal and professional experience using this process to document and parallel their gender-affirmation process. This presentation will outline how this process can become more central to gender exploration and elevate the deep introspection often needed in the process of self-discovery. Through the presenter's narrative, participants can learn how to facilitate this process and support clients in a new modality that can expand gender exploration and gender affirmation.
