If We Do Nothing, Neither Are We.

This was the first tattoo after top surgery and its just perfect! After my last session Neen suggested watching Shape of Water and I fell even more in love with the Creature From The Black Lagoon and all the deep, dark, creepy ocean creature myths. The movie really spoke to my own feelings about being human and the undiscovered truths of the ocean.

When I started my ocean leg it began simple enough, mermaids and mythical ocean gods and goddesses, stories from my childhood. But as we move up, there’s an evolution. It’s like moving from the shallow ends of the ocean, away from the wading pools and into the deep, dark parts that remain undiscovered, much like the deep parts within us all.
