The Cost Of Trainings
We function on a sliding scale based on non-profit status and operating budget.
We typically ask for 200$ an hour minimum and for a custom training we ask for our hourly rate to compensate for the research and labor it takes to create something just for you. We believe in direct and honest conversations about money so do not hesitate to ask.
We offer to set up meetings to discuss needs and make arrangements. We offer all our training virtually and in-person training in New Haven, CT, and surrounding areas and can be in person in multiple states and countries if travel and lodging costs are covered.

The Arts In Psychotherapy
This study evaluated the effectiveness of a social action art therapy session to address symptoms of stress and compassion fatigue in counsellors working in domestic violence (DV) and sexual assault (SA) services. Participants were adult women (N = 30) who work with client survivors of DV and SA. Participants participated in three groups based on their workplace, and were asked to create art for a group peace pole. The peace pole has currency within the DV support community as a symbol of hope and safety. After creating individual artworks, each member glued their canvas squares onto the peace pole to create a unified group piece of art. The Compassion Fatigue Self-Test was used as a measure of compassion fatigue, and the Psychological Stress Measure 9 provided information regarding pre and post measures of symptomology changes. The results supported the hypothesis that participation in a social action art therapy based session could significantly reduce stress

The Monument Quilt
FORCE: Upsetting Rape Culture (founded 2010; Baltimore, MD, and 2014 Mexico City, Mexico). Ten blocks from The Monument Quilt, 2013–2019, and digital archive. FORCE was an art and activist collective dedicated to constructing a culture of consent. TheMonument Quilt, their largest project, represents a massive effort from artists, activists, healers, and visionaries to create the first national memorial to survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence. FORCE was founded by Hannah Brancato and Rebecca Nagle. FORCE collective members Mora Fernández and Shanti Flagg, along with Brancato, are leading the effort to archive 750 blocks created by 3,000 survivors and allies. The BMA worked closely with this team to select 10 blocks that center Baltimore experiences and amplify the stories of Indigenous, Black, LGBTQ+, and/or immigrant survivors across the quilt’s six-year history.
