Art As Activism & Community Care Through Equity and Inclusion

Much of our work is surrounded by activist work. Wether it’s art creating, mural making, running community group therapy or providing community education. As part of their activist work we serve and have served on multiple non-profit boards.

Project HEAL

Wednesdae currently serves on the board of Project HEAL. It is one of Wednesdae’s most exciting new ventures as they believe in their mission and values. As Project HEAL grows their equity based treatment access grant. Wednesdae will be working toward donations to provide treatment funding for those struggling with an Eating Disorder. Donations go toward Project HEALs treatment equity programs that focus on LGBTQ+, BIPOC, Disabled, Size Diverse and Low Socio-Economic humans who would never get access to treatment otherwise. Donation to Project HEAL saves lives.

The Gender Affirming Letter Access Project

Rainbow Recovery provides free Gender Affirming Care letters for clients looking to access Gender Affirming Care that requires letters for insurance to approve the coverage of services.

MEDA, Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association

Ron currently serves on the MEDA Board. He hopes in his work he can raise awarness about eating disorder recovery in those assigned male at birth, LGBTQ+ humans, and the Trans and Gender Diverse community. They envision a community without eating disorders that promotes a positive body culture. In their work they provide and expand access to treatment and recovery services, educate our community and raise awareness, train professionals in the latest innovative treatment strategies and modalities, and dvocate for policies that promote equitable access.
