Land Acknowledgement
We want to recognize and give honor to the indigenous people whose land we occupy.
We honor the Quinnipiack, the Mohegan, the Wappinger, and the Paugasuck whose land was stolen from them in the 1600’s by white colonist settlers who displaced these tribes into reservations and simultaneously committed human rights atrocities against the indigenous people of this land. This trauma has lasted throughout time and continues to deeply affect indigenous peoples, their culture, connection to their land and ancestors, and their rights as human beings.
We commit to not just honoring indigenous people but to give back, amplify their voices and raise awareness to their cause. If you are interested in supporting indigenous people please click the buttons below.
