We don’t take vacations in our home often so when we planned a long weekend in PTown. My first vacation since transitioning and my first trip to PTown since transitioning needed to be celebrated with a tattoo!

I wanted someone to create an image that represented my three favorite Queer Cult Classics, Rockhorror Picture Show, To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar, Party Monster (based on the book Disco Bloodbath) and one of my favorite B Horror Movies, Bloody Disco.

Alice did an amazing job taking everything out of my head and created the perfect tattoo. This feels like the perfect homage to the youngest version of me who watched these movies and wanted so badly to be these strong queer humans, unafraid to be themselves…sans the drugs and occasional murder. Thank you Alice for providing the perfect reminder of my strength and a celebration of my weirdness!
