Slipped deadly nightshade into my tea…

Tattoo By Brianna of Saints and Sinners Tattoos, October 2021

I was 6 when Nightmare Before Christmas came out and I firmly believe that that movie and Beetlejuice were how I learned early on to embrace my strange, unusual, gender bending and odd self. It started my obsession with all things horror, the darkness, an embrace of Persephone and the descent times.

As I got older I saw Sally as this highly intuitive and resilient character whose use of kitchen skills, sewing and deadly night shade was a freeing revolution of epic proportion. Having her deadly night shade and some Beetlejuice flowers really highlights for me that connection to a deeper part of myself.
