Sure plays a mean Pinball!

After my last tattoo with Vicki I wanted another one!
This time I wanted something that would keep my pup with me forever. So I have this dog, we’ve had him for 6 years, he’s about 10 dog years old or 60 people years. When we thought about getting a dog my partner went to the local pound while I was at work and met Pinball Wizard. I’m working, when a photo of the this pup, smiling with his tongue hanging out, comes through my text messages. I didn’t want to see or meet another dog, I wanted to meet him.
So my parents joined my partner and I to the pound to meet Pinball Wizard. The irony and humor of his name was not lost on us. This blind dog, who is “selectively” hard of hearing and a little on the slow side came running out and gave me all the kisses. He just wanted to be held and loved and walked. Now I never had a dog growing up and this dog felt perfect! The pound kept checking, were we sure we wanted a dog who would have special needs and did we really want a dog that would take so much work? My answer will always be emphatically yes! They shared he had been essentially thrown out in the woods and they found him in a local dumpster. His eyes looked deformed like someone had probably beaten him in the face to cause his blindness but they’ll never know.
What I do know is from day one, this pup and I became besties. We would go for walks together, occasionally eat vanilla ice cream, go to the dog park and the beach. And during this pandemic he has been sitting in my lap and by my side every single day. To top it off, The Who’s “Tommy” is one of Pinballs favorite albums to listen to and really who can blame him, he’s the star of the show. And now he’ll be with me forever, the most perfect pup and the most perfect tattoo for the most perfect pup.
